If you’re wondering how close you get to the animals when you’re on safari, this should give you an idea. And since elephants can get spooked easily, we actually had to use our ‘inside voices’ when we got close to a herd. You don’t want something bigger than your jeep taking a dislike to you.
PHOTO TIP: My husband and I actually had two cameras at the ready at all times, his with a longer lens for wildlife that was more distant, and mine with a shorter one. With this elephant within 3 yards of the jeep, you can guess who took this shot!
