Boutique Accommodations in Budapest
Buda and Pest’s storied past pretty much guarantees a rich architectural legacy, even before they combined into one city. Thankfully many of its most beautiful properties are now available as boutique accommodations in Budapest where visitors can sample a little of that history and opulence.
PÁRISI UDVAR HOTEL, Budapest

Budapest knows how to build architectural gems, starting with its spectacular Parliament Buildings. But the Párisi Udvar Hotel is no slouch, either, as this stunning building was once a Belle Epoque shopping ‘galleria’ with a glass-topped atrium and opulent details throughout. Dating back to 1817, but remodelled and repurposed many times (including as an apartment building during the Communist era), today it is a luxurious Hyatt hotel property, and guests who enter its impressive lobby are transported back to the days of the Austro-Hungarian empire. Definitely splurge and treat yourself to a stay at the Párisi Udvar. You won’t regret it.
FOUR SEASONS HOTEL GRESHAM PALACE, Budapest
Back at the turn of the 20th century, the Gresham hotel was Budapest’s hottest address and one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau design in the city. Built to reflect the grandeur and power of the Austro-Hungarian empire, no expense was spared in its construction (not originally, and not in the 2004 restoration done by the Four Seasons).
Budapest’s Chain Bridge and the Gresham Palace hotel at the far end
Located right in front of the iconic Chain Bridge linking East Buda and West Pest, the Gresham enjoys one of the most beautiful views in the city, as well as a central location on Széchenyi Square that cannot be beat.
As prestigious properties go, this one is at the top of the list in Budapest and should be at the top of yours, too.
